Reiki is a form of energy therapy also called palm healing or hands on healing. It was first developed in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist called Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is Japanese and means ‘Universal Life Force Energy’.

Reiki can be used for healing physical or emotional problems, help with balancing one’s energies or simply to relax and let go of stress, anxiety and the feeling of being overloaded or overwhelmed. If practised regularly it can also assist individuals on their path of spiritual growth and self-development.

Level 1: In this 2-day Reiki training you’ll learn the basics of Reiki healing energy and how to work with Reiki symbols. You’ll receive an attunement which will enable you to engage in self-healing. You’ll learn how to use the Reiki symbols for a variety of issues. In addition, we will cover chakra balancing and healing.

Please note that this course does not give you the qualification to treat others. The Level 2 practitioner training will be offered subsequently. Level 1 is for beginners. No previous knowledge is necessary.

Sandy is a certified Shamballa Reiki Master with over 10 years of Reiki experience. She trained in a mountain village in Northern Thailand over a number of years and has reached the highest level (Mastery). She now periodically runs her own Reiki trainings for self-healing (Level 1) and new practitioners (Level 2).
